Our Mission: Promote Civic Health
E Pluribus Unum, Inc. was formed to remind Americans that our strength and survival lies in working together toward a common goal. We work to promote civic health by encouraging recognition of our common interests, greater civility, and respectful discourse leading to mutual understanding and greater cooperation. The health of our democratic republic depends upon it.
Our Common Interests
From the many, one. This is the American ideal. Most Americans recognize that our strength is derived from the blending of many voices, peoples, cultures, and ideas into a single multifaceted entity: the United States of America. Our common interests outweigh the things that divide us.
Civility and Respectful Discourse
We get along better together when we listen respectfully and engage in productive dialogue to resolve problems and differences. We may have different ideas about how best to accomplish our goals, but most people share the same basic values and priorities. Focusing on what we have in common allows us to make progress as a nation.
Mutual Understanding and Cooperation
Americans come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. We have different belief systems, religions, and cultures. Our educational backgrounds, work experiences, and life experiences vary. But when we take time to know one another, we find that Americans are more alike than different.
